All of the data shared between NRDS and iMIS can be accessed through iParts, user-defined windows, queries, and reports. Eight data types are shared between NRDS and iMIS.
Note: If you have any custom NRDS tables that you use for iMIS queries, reports, special pricing, or billing, update those items to use the new AsiNrds tables described below.

Data restrictions
Multi-instance tables: When you make changes to the NRDS data stored in iMIS, keep in mind that NRDS does not allow you to add, update, and delete all data. So while it may be possible to update something in iMIS, changes that NAR does not allow will be reverted the next time the record changes in NRDS. NAR has rules for the following multi-instance tables:
■ You can add, update, and delete data from the Education and Demographic tables.
■ You can add and update (but not delete) from the Supplemental tables.
■ You can only add to the Financial table.
Point of Entry status: There are also restrictions on what you can update based on your Point of Entry status for a member or office. If you make changes to a record you are not authorized to edit, this will be overwritten when you synchronize from NRDS. You may also get a partial success error in your log after a synch. Contact NAR if you have questions about your Point of Entry status for a particular record.
Field length: If you notice that certain iMIS fields are truncated after synchronizing from NRDS, it is possible that the iMIS field has a different maximum field length than the NRDS field it is mapped to.
New NRDS contacts: If you manually create a new NRDS member or office in iMIS, you must fill out the required fields in the NRDS tables according to the NRDS requirements before synchronizing the new record to NRDS. Contact NAR if you have questions about the required fields. For more information, see Adding new NRDS contacts and supplemental memberships from iMIS.
Associations: Association panels are read-only in iMIS, because association records are only allowed to be updated from NRDS. Any changes you make to an association in iMIS are overwritten during a regular synchronization.
